The long-term goal of the organisation is to add static type checking and other features to R, with zero cost at run time via a superset of R working alongside the language.
This aforementioned goal is years ahead of us as it requires building numerous tools that will surely take time to build. Therefore the project is split into steps that deliver working intermediaries. The rpp package is a first working prototype.
